The problem
Nobody could see the billing cycle end to end without logging into three systems, and anything that could post a payment was a compliance problem waiting to happen.
What I built
A read-only operations layer over the billing data with card data scope deliberately kept at zero, so the system stays outside payment compliance scope entirely.
Result
The cycle is visible, and the riskiest capability was never built in the first place.
